Colorful Bean Bag Chairs

During our visit to one of the  stores  near our area, we were drawn to these color displays of  Bean Bag Chairs and other home   furniture and displays.  My daughter is in  cloud nine exploring everything from this store.  We bought her an art book that she has been using now to sketch her  artistic imagination.  This little area in the entrance of the store is really an eye catching spot that everyone that come to the store has to stop and look at every piece.  I love the  divider and I wanted  something like it  when we separate our living room and dining room.  I mean, we want to convert our dining room into a  bedroom and since we have a big living room, we are  contemplating  on  putting the dining area on the half part of the living room.
Anyway, moving on to the other  part of the store, we went to the garden area and found these beautiful displays of flowers.  They also have  some selection of Garden Sheds and other gardening products.  If only I have the budget, I would definitely buy many things from this store hahaha.  It's just an enjoyable place to  walk around to, I admire every piece of  products they have  although I am not fond of the prices lol.
I was not impressed with their office stuff but saw some  great selection of desks and other office furniture online at  http://www.hurdleysofficefurniture.co.nz/desks/.  We area also planning to move my office down our basement so I will be very busy this summer time tending to my garden and doing some home improvement projects with my husband.  How about you, do you have a line up of  projects to do this summer season?

For travel plan this year, hubby and I  booked a week-long stay in Maryland.  We want to   experience  a beach kind of getaway since we are very far from beaches.  We live in a mountainous region of West Virginia and beach is something  that we  need to drive far  in order to enjoy it.  We don't want to deprive the kids from this experience so even if it's far, we planned on going. Planning your travel ahead is must if you want to enjoy  travel deals and packages.  YOu can save money and time in doing so. How about you, any plans to travel to this year?

Suede Boots

She's very fond of her new suede boots. This is what we got her for the gift card that she won from the free game event that they have attended at Steuben Mall.  Her old boots has retired already.  She can still use them but  it has few scratches already.
Me and hubby found a grey boots that we both like for Ms. Burrito but she didn't like it.  She said that she wanted this on so me and her could match, oh boy.  We got this on sale though which was a plus.  My daughter  is turning  9 in July but she  already has a say  when it comes to what she wants to wear.

Anniversary Gift

I remember  looking at these watches when I was scouting for a good gift to give to my husband two years ago for our anniversary.  He is very picky when it comes to  gifts so it is a bit  hard for me to find one that he really likes.  I ended up buying a different one that wasn't in the selection.  I wonder what  I can get for him this year for our anniversary?  I would appreciate any suggestion if you jot it down the comment, thank you!

Sweet Reward

My daughter was asked by her teacher to do the poster for the 6th grade's recollection.  She  drew the globe  in a poster which I forgot to  take a photo of before she brought it in school (my bad).
But anyhow, the other day, she came home with  a gift bag and she was delighted when she opened it.  There was a small  Easter bunny stuffed toy  with a Hershey bar.  She kept the plush toy and she handed the sweet treat to the boy who have sweet tooth.
So glad that my children continue to  shine in school.  It always give me an inspiration to strive harder to do my job as their Mom.

iPod

"Santa" delivered an iPod to my daughter last Chrsitmas, she was very happy about it. Since then, she hasn't use my cell phone in watching her  favorite shows or  playing her favorite games.   I like it that it is  WiFi ready so she can use at home or anywhere where WiFi is vailable.  I am not sure if goconnect app is compatible  with iPod but this app is a  good to have especially if you are an agent on the go.

Mardi Gras in School

Every year, the homeroom mom prepares a small celebration for the kids in school to enjoy Mardi Gras.  This is the  first year that my kids were able to participate in the celebration, because during the previous years, they were  sick.  As you can see in Mr. Burrito's face, he is very happy.
I was literally laughing  when I was taking a photo of him because he keep making faces lol.  They brought some treats like  necklaces, coins, and donuts.

Happily Mixed Up Community

My husband and I came from a very different background of ethnicity, culture, and tradition. I came from a very collective culture while hubby came from an individualistic type. Our interracial marriage brings us challenges especially in rearing our children. He was brought up in different ways and so am I so sometimes, it's now always smooth sailing but it does not mean that we fight about it. We talk about our differences in a calm manner and come up with a compromise.
We have different views on things including our parenting style to our children.  Both of us   carries different features that both of our children  has in them.  Nevertheless, hubby and I have a strong friendship even though we  came from different races.  It's not always easy but we  make sure to set aside our differences and focus on things that we can both work on to better do our   responsibilities  for our children and for our  marriage.
Coming herein America was exciting but at the back of y mind, there's  doubts and fears of facing new life back then.  I have to learn their  culture and try to adopt to them.  It wasn't easy but gladly, his family  are the most kind people.  They accepted me for what I am and embrace me just like their own family.  It help for an easy transition.  Our mixed race did not affect who we  are as a person, in fact, we've learned to  expand our vision of life and living.  We might be raising a
biracial children but it is not hindering us from being good parents.

Browsing online, I found Happily Mixed Up Community  website where you can meet  multiracial families just like us.  They have different  kinds of topics that you can find  about mixed race and marriages, men and women topics, parenting, multicultural, dating, multiracial, and many other topics that you can learn from.
Check it out and see  interesting topics.
