KIDorable Makes Ordinary into Extraordinary

Kidorable is generous for sending me these adorable items to review. I love their products because they may ordinary into extraordinary. I have one set of  bookends from them before and it's one of the eye catching feature in my children's book case.  I got some books for the kids this Christmas so having another set bookends would help them organize  their books.

My son  have come to love reading now that he is a little bit  older so this Sports Bookends would surely  boost his "Shelf" esteem as Kidorable  puts it.  Although he hasn't participated yet in any sport for now but he love playing ball with his Dad so this design would  definitely make him  love this one.

I am  the type of person who  gives gifts that are practical and I love  Kidorable's  products because  they are not only  practical products to give as  gifts but their design  are also  beautiful  for the kids to really appreciate the two factors which is the practical use of the product and its beautiful design.  These adorable, hand-painted wooden bookends will  brighten and bring excitement to any room.  You can buy this at their website for $30.

For my daughter, I was looking for a musical theme  design but this  Ballerina Hangers is the only thing that is related to music.  I got it  because she was once a frustrated ballerina (LOL) so this would remind her of her brief experience in ballet dancing.  Ms. Burrito  is a kind of  kid that  is always busy but  she is not keen of keeping her stuff organize.  I always have a battle  with hanging her coat every time she takes them off so hopefully, this will encourage her to do so.

This set of five hangers  cost  $20.

I would like to thank Kidorable for giving me this opportunity once again.  If  you are looking for something especial to give to someone or to your children, check out the beautiful selection at Kidorable.  There are so many  designs   to choose  from.  They  have backpacks, knit gloves, knit hats, knit scarves, bookends,  rain coats, rain boots, and many more.

Having a Baby? Here's What You'll Need to Buy…

If you are expecting a miniature bundle of joy to pop into your life any day now, you will likely have a billion different things to think about. One of those is bound to be the various goods and supplies you’re going to need to get you through the first few weeks, then the ones you’ll need for the rest of the 18 or so years…

Luckily for you and your busy, busy schedule, we are on hand to save the day. So that you don’t have to worry about compiling lists and cross referencing with your various parental advice pamphlets, we have gone to the effort of making a handy list for you.

And so, without any further ado, may we present to you the following, the Finest Baby Prep List in All the Land™.

General Supplies
Okay, there’s no real “set menu” when it comes to supplies – you’ll just have to buy everything and in large quantities. You won’t know how many nappies and what-have-you you’ll go through in a standard week, so it’s always better to have too much than too little.

You’ll have to stock up on nappies, baby wipes, talcum powder, and a wide range of baby-friendly toiletries. Once he or she starts getting a little older, you will have to start buying baby food, but until then you might want to get some infant formula milk.

Bottles and bottle brushes will of course be necessary, and you may find a breast pump to be of use. A nursing pillow can be a godsend for your poor, strained neck, and breast-feeding accessories like lanolin ointment can help.

For feeding, a highchair (freestanding or attachable) will be needed, as will baby bowls, baby spoons, bibs and sippy cups. Just look at the mess they can make if you’re not prepared!
Other essentials include dummies, a play mat, and – of course – plenty of toys and clothes!

Out and About
To get around, you’ll want a pram or pushchair. Keep in mind that the latter is only suitable for a newborn if it can be fully reclined – don’t keep a baby sitting up! For some inspiration, take a look at the pushchairs from Cosatto; the travel systems are particularly useful, as they recline all the way back and can even be used as a car seat, meaning there’s one less thing to buy!
A baby carrier will also be useful: you can keep your little loved one close and warm!

Snoozing Away
Of course, you babe in arms will need somewhere to sleep, so you’ll have to invest in a cot. For safety, look for the British Standard mark 1753. You’ll need a firm mattress and some light blankets – pillows and duvets are unsafe. For more safety info, visit the NHS site.

Everyday Safety
Childproof your home. This is of vital importance; it stops any nasty accidents. Put safety gates at the top and bottom of the stairs, and invest in a few plug socket covers. Apart from those, you might also want a toilet seat lock and some cupboard/drawer latches.

Get hold of a digital thermometer for any moments of illness, and some baby monitors to keep you updated on the sleeping situation.

…that’s about it, really! No list can ever be truly exhaustive, as you might decide you need other bits and bobs (like baby nail clippers), but we’ve tried our darnedest! All you have to do now is await the arrival!

Best Tips for Newborn Baby Clothes

Babies grow very quickly during their first few weeks. As a result, you may find that you do not need to buy many newborn baby clothes. However, most expectant Mums will wish to purchase at least a few key items in preparation for the birth of their baby. To help you out, we have put together a list of some tips to keep in mind whilst you are shopping for baby clothes.

Don’t go overboard
You will find that friends and family purchase newborn baby clothes for your baby in the weeks leading up to and immediately after the birth. As a result, try not to bulk buy newborn clothes and instead buy a mixture of clothes in newborn and 3-6 months sizes. When you receive newborn clothes, keep the tag on until you are sure they will fit your baby.

Practicalities matter
Babies are certainly bendy, but it is less distressing for them if you do not need to manoeuvre them too much when getting them dressed. Look for baby clothes which have a long zip down the front and a wide neck opening. Clothes should be stretchy and soft to the touch.

Keep it simple
The first few weeks after the birth are going to be stressful enough, without having to worry about hand washing or dry cleaning baby clothes. Invest in clothes which can be washed and dried in the washing machine and give yourself a break! Check the label to make sure.

Comfortable Clothes Make For a Happy Baby
Unfortunately, there are lots of things on baby clothes which can cause distress and discomfort to your newborn baby. For example, zips, catches and even elastic waist bands can irritate if they are too close to the skin or in the wrong place. Ideally, try to purchase clothes which have a layer of material between the baby and the zip. Elastic waist bands need to be closed within fabric and catches should have smooth edges.

Layers Are Good
Generally, babies should wear one more layer than what an adult would wear on the same day, unless it is very hot outside. Bearing this in mind, you should choose clothes which can be added to or removed with ease and which are comfortable for the baby. Bulky clothes are not a good idea, so if you do live in a cold climate consider purchasing a fleece snowsuit instead of a thicker option.

Socks and Shoes?
Newborn babies will need to wear socks, especially if they are born in the autumn or winter time. You may need to shop around a little to find socks to fit and you may find that the socks tend to fall off a lot! Some parents like to dress their babies in shoes as well, but this is not a necessity. If you decide to do so, bear in mind that the baby will chew on the shoes.

Keep an Eye Out
Most baby clothes are perfectly safe for your baby. Do however keep an eye out for loose buttons, drawstrings, and any embellishments which could come loose. Likewise, ensure there is no way that an item of clothing could become entangled around your child’s neck.

There is so much to think about when you are expecting a new baby. Try not to worry but instead to relax and look forward to that wonderful moment when you meet your little one for the first time. By following the hints above you should be able to stock up on decent baby clothes and have a wonderful time dressing your newborn.

Baby Gifts That You Can Save On

When a baby comes into the world, it is truly a miracle to behold. After all, every person is unique and every life should be celebrated. The last thing that you want to do is to give the new parents something that everyone else is giving them. This is when you will want to look into the different baby gifts that you can buy that will truly capture the heart and mind. This does not mean that you want to spend a lot of money on the items that you are going to purchase. Luckily, there are many great choices that will allow you to get the great gifts you are looking for.

Get Personal
One of the great things that you can do when you are looking beyond the wholesale baby items available is that you will be able to get personalized items. These include items that have the picture of the baby on them or at least the name of the baby. One of the great ways that you can do this is to purchase multiple decorative frames and purchase the different letters that make up the name of the baby. These can be hung up in the baby’s room over the crib.

Create a Cyclorama
If you want to create something yourself, you can also purchase wholesale baby items including toys. These can be attached to different sticks by string. As they dangle over the head of the infant, their attention will be on the toys rather than on their current problems. The parents will certainly appreciate the gift whenever their baby is entertained for hours. Later on, the toys can be removed and played with to keep the entertainment rolling for years to come.

Get the Necessities
As you are purchasing the different baby gifts, try not to overlook the obvious choices. Every parent will be in need of more clothing and more diapers. Resist the urge to buy the newborn sizes as they will be inundated with these items. You will be much better off looking into clothing that the baby can wear at one and two years old. This will allow the parents to have clothing that they will not have to purchase for years to come. This is a much appreciated commodity when the money starts getting tight and there is no time to go out and buy more clothes.

Baby Sling

When you  go to Asian country like Korea, you will see a lot of mothers that uses baby slings.  I have bought one when we first have our first born but I only used once or twice and did not feel the need to use it so I gave it to a friend.  When we  went to Korea, we  went for a hike at Mt. Jiri and  our second child was just a year old back then so he couldn't walk.  Luckily, one of the Moms inside the Navy base lent  us their baby's baby carrier.  It made it easier for hubby to hike in the mountain with our son at his back.  He doesn't look so happy because he wasn't used to it lol.

When it comes to baby support, there are different kinds of product that you can buy or create.  It  gives   parents  an easiness to  carry the baby around especially in public places.  Some babies are used to being carried  with this type of product but definitely not our kids lol.  Nevertheless, it made our hike in the mountain a lot easier!
