8th Graders Christmas Party with Santa.

I can't believe how time have flown.  I can still remember the very first day I dropped off my daughter at the kindergarten, I felt  nauseous upon  coming back home.  I've never put my children in a daycare and I taught them at home during their pre-school years so it was a first for me.  She took it easier than me though, she was such a true trooper and very independent.  Now, she is in 8th grade, my gosh!
Since it is their last year in grade school, the homeroom moms and teacher, along with other moms, made sure that they will have plenty of fun and memories to look back to.  Thanks to the best Moms who planned all the activities, the kids  sure are  having a blast.
They had their Christmas party last December 21.  The homeroom Moms invited some of us to be there as well.   We took lots of photos and videos of them.
I am grateful for these Moms who put  their time, effort, and love  in putting  everything together.  They prepared food and games, arts and crafts, and  decorated the whole room to set the yuletide atmosphere.
There's treat for everyone of them.  We went to their classroom  earlier to prep the room and set up everything.
The main chef and dedicated homeroom mom, Mrs. Arnold, thanks a lot Rose.
I love the backdraft.  Mr. and Mrs. Claus were invited so the kids can have their picture taken with them.
Our group of girls.  Sad to see some of them are going to a different school in highschool but that's life.
The memories they all shared will be remembered for a very long time.  They are so close to each other and have a great friendship throughout their elementary days.
Most teens  feel awkward when it comes to their pictures being taken but glad most of these peeps are up to it and were cool about talking to Santa and having their photos taken.
The Moms were even got the chance to have  our pictures  taken with them as well, it was nice.
I am so grateful to met all of these wonderful Moms.  We've developed great friendship, 8 years have been filled with wonderful memories.
The 8th graders are blessed to have Mrs. Ferguson as their homeroom class teacher, she's  a true Mom to them and a great teacher too.
Thanks to Darla for encouraging me to have a photo with Santa, my very first, ha!
It's so nice to see when your kids get along so well with their friends.
The exchange gifts was fun.  My daughter received a whole bag of goodies from this guy right here.
She had a great time looking each of the items that were in the bag, they were all funny lol.
They had a ginger bread house making contest.
They played  stacking cups game.
Those little stockings with the first letter of their names  were so cute.
They were filled with chocolates for them to enjoy later on, thanks Amy!
Over all, they had  a great time celebrating their last Christmas party at St. Joseph School.  High School is around the corner and I am feeling anxious about it.  We will see what  HS awaits for us.

St. Joseph School Choir Sung at St. Joseph Church #Christmas2017

The St. Joseph Choir sung beautifully during the mass at St. Joseph church.  Mrs. Bernardi really did a great job in  coordinating all of these songs with the group of students.  I think masses are extra special when the choir are children, would you agree?
I don't go out  right away after the mass because I love taking pictures of the kids after the celebration.  Here's our daughter with her friends.  These lovely girls will be in 8th grade  next school year,, whew, where did the time go?  I can still remember the very first day I dropped my daughter off to school in kindergarten, I felt sick to m,y stomach as I walked away from school.
The  church was well decorated for the season.  Lots of  beautiful poinsettia and a big nativity scene alongside a tall Christmas tree.
The choir was  required to come  an hour early so they could practice before the mass starts.  I don't know how  the music teach can pull this amazing performances because they only have little time to practice with their  recess from here and there.  I really admire her  patience and  dedication in putting this all together.
These kind of performances really give the children boost of   confidence in performing in public setting.
My little guy look so handsome with his attire.  This little man is turning eleven years old in few weeks.  Whenever I shop for his Christmas gifts, I also shop for his birthday presents.  He said it is his favorite time of the year because after the Christmas presents, he will get  birthday presents a couple of weeks after that.
I think that sending  our children to a  small school has it's advantages.  Most of the kids are close and they get along so well.
Our son was  complaining about  me taking so much pictures after the mass lol.  I couldn't keep him to pose  for me.
Glad our daughter is up to it.  It's amazing how some of them got so tall and big all of the sudden.  Our daughter said that she's the only one that's not growing lol.  I told, it might be a good thing.
They were friends  since kindergarten so they are very  close.  We did not send our children to pre school, I chose to teach them at home all of the basic that they could learn going to school at  that age.  I think we did good on that, they are both smart and seemed to not miss anything by not going to preschool in school.
Ahhh one more year and I will have a high school student.
It was hard  recording a video since we were seated at the back but here are some of the videos.  The parochial priest, Fr. Dennis, started the mass by singing the Alleluia.
Hark the Hark! The Herald Angels Sing
I hope that all of you had a great Christmas.  I wish you all a joyous and prosperous new year.  May it bring  good health and  lots of joy to your home and personal lives!

Good News of Great Joy: A Christmas Pageant

What  great joy to see  a children's presentation depicting the birth of Jesus.  St. Joseph church this this  Christmas pageant every year.  Selected students at St. Joseph School performs  it beautifully every time.  It's always uplifting to see  our kids participate in this  event.
The pageant  comes before the mass.
When my daughter was in first and second grade, she was one of the angels.  Starting last year, she  joined the bell choir of the school.
EJ was part of the  crew this year,  He is the chief shepherd.
The bell choir of the fifth graders.
The play was being described through narration and songs.
 It is beautiful to watch.
Every cast member of the play  did their part really well.
The choir sung so beautifully and play their instruments really well.
The final song was fun.  The choir sung an action song where they dance and do stuff.
My son's class who participated during the play.
 My daughter's besties.
I took pictures of the kids after the mass.
I am glad that my son's fear is now disappearing.  He used to be so nervous when he is part of a play but now he is more  comfortable with it.
Wish my husband did not go to the car yet so we could have taken some photos with him and the kids.
This year was a really good year for us especially for the kids.  The kids didn't really got sick compared to the previous years.  I am very thankful for that.  I hope that 2016 will be a great for all of us!
