Keywords like Arts

It has been years since I started blogging and I love  every  bit of it.  I learned a lot of things  and  I am glad that  even though I am a stay-at-home-mom, I am earning a little bit through blogging which is nice.  One thing  that I learned along the way is the right  way of choosing keywords in your article to be able  to gain some exposure online.  Say for instance, if your  post is about Arts, then you can  use it in your post or in your title.  I am not an expert  to blogging but I love that I can learn from it each day.

 Anyway, these photos were taken during my husband and I's 11th wedding anniversary, we did some unusual things that we have never done before like  visit shopping areas that we've never been to.  We let the kids explore  as well.  Ms. Burrito was glued to the Art  section at  one of the establishment we  visited.

She wanted to buy every book on this  display lol.

Kid's George Washington Costume

Isn't it amazing that even  kids nowadays like my son idolizes    Our First President of the United States?  George Washington is an international icon for liberation and nationalism which earned him  a lot of respect for generations and generations  even today's generation.  For that many reasons, my son was so pleased when I told him that  I got him a George Washington Halloween costume.

The costume includes a splendid blue three quarter length jacket with gold trim, a tan vest with gold button details and an attached jabot. Also included are matching pants.  I like the jabot, it makes it for a perfect  little gentleman.  I can't wait to see him wear this during the Halloween in school.    I still have to buy him the head piece to complete the look.  Here are some photos of him when I let him try it on.

I told him to crack a little smile and he told me that President needs to be serious (lol).  I said, okay, young man but you are not the president then he  told me again "You never know Mom".  

The conversation made me laugh so then he started giggling to lol.

He tried to hold his laugh but..

....he couldn't, lol.  

So we truly had fun during this  photo shoot and most especially, he was inspired by George Washington.  

Overall, I would recommend this  costume to parent's out there.  It is made in the USA (which is a plus) so it is of high quality.  It cost $54.97 and it is available in sizes medium and large.  My son is wearing a medium size.  You can find  some of the Founding Fathers costume  by visiting any of the links.

First Day of School for SY 2014-2015

Today is the first day of school. I am glad that my husband is off because the kids always look forward for both of us to send them off. Since it is the first day, they are allowed free dress today. Uniforms will be worn starting tomorrow.  The funny thing was, hubby and I set our alarm clock to 6:30 but the kids woke up at 6 am lol. They are so excited to go back to school! I am sure that this excitement will start to wear  out  as son as the  homework pours in.

Our second grader is ready to rock.   I can't believe my little boy is growing up to fast!

I see some changes with our daughter in the past couple of months.  She is becoming more conscious of how she  looks now.  She fixes her own hair now which I am thankful because  she doesn't like it when I do it.  According to her, it hurts but I don't let her go anywhere with a messy hair so it is a relief for both of us now that she  knows how to do her hair.

Our fourth grader is still the littlest among the class but she think she's big already. It makes me sad to see my babies grow up so fast. I feel like they are  slipping off my hands.   Few days ago, I was very calm and said "Glad I don't have anxiety anymore in sending them to school" but last night, I felt this  funny feeling again of  making me want to cry and that's because they are going back to school. I thought I passed that stage already but obviously not lol.

I hope that they both do good this year in their classes and I pray that every  student will be safe from any harm. May God bless them and the teachers too!

Personalized Lunchboxes

I did not tell my  kids that I got them a new  lunch boxes so when the package arrived, I asked them to open it up.  They were very happy and excited to see that they have new lunch boxes this year.  Adding to the  excitement is the fact that  the lunchboxes has their  names on it, yay!  Thanks to "I See Me!" for these beautiful personalized lunchboxes!

I received two lunchboxes to review but I will write about  my son's lunchbox at my food blog.  I really love the way this looks, I love the butterfly design and I love the fact that there's not only one name but in three different  sides.

9 Years.. How Time Flies

This is a bit late Baby Love but it is still July so  it counts (grins).  I haven't forgotten your 9th birthday post although you beat me in posting one  but I just want you to know how  lucky and blessed  we are to have you as a daughter.  So let us take a look what  you have been in those 9 years. 

2014 Highlights

> Visited Ocean City to celebrate your 9th birthday.

> Winning the Doodle4Google Contest 2014 for the  State of West Virginia  gave you  an opportunity to explore a little more.  We got to go to California and met other people.  

> You wanted to experience how it is to be in  a  talent show so we signed you up and you've   participated/competed  and luckily won First Prize on  the Kinsley S. Ard Memorial Talent Show held at Milton J. Weinberg Theater, on March 28, 2014 against 14 other participants.

> March 8 - Went to  Carnegie Science Center and  explore fun things.

> February 22 - Went to Doquesne University and you auditioned for their music program.  You've got accepted and will start this Fall.

2013 Highlights

> July 7th - We celebrated your  birthday  at Headland Beach in Mentor Ohio.  We also  explored the huge Cleveland Museum of Arts.

> June 10 - We visited our family friend in San Antonio Texas where we  did a lot of fun stuff including a  visit  at the Museum on the Bay in Curpus Cristi, Sea World San Antonio, Splash Town, Wild Life Ranch, and River Walk.

> We  did a road trip and saw  the other side of West Virginia.  Seen the Black Water Falls, and Ceneca Rock in Canaan Valley.

> You  were tested  and passed  the Gifted Program in School.  This is also the year that you had your first   communion, first confession, and first piano recital.

2012 Highlights

> We did a lot of fun stuff but I think your favorite were  the pumpkin land expedition, Tomlinson Run picnic,  and our Road trip down in West Virginia with Pap.

2011 Highlights

> We went to Disney World in Florida and met the Dias Family for the first time.  That was fun!

2010 Highlights

> This is when I felt sick to my stomach as you started going to school.  You were ready but Mommy  was having the separation anxiety lol.

2009 Highlights

> We visited Jeju Island in South Korea before coming back here in the US.

> You were the winner of an international smile contest for the month of October 2009. This contest was sponsored by Division of Pediatric Dentistry, Department of Oral Health Sciences, University of British Columbia, Canada.

>At the end of this  year,  we came back here in the US from South Korea but before that, we visited the Philippines twice, where you get to met your cousins.  We celebrated your 4th birthday there.

2008 Highlights

> This was your first international flight as we had to move to South Korea.  You and your brother were really good travelers.

> You turned three when we were in Korea. We invited some Filipinos and other friends that we met inside the base. It was fun especially on the second day when the two of you  gave me a surprise. I went to our neighbor real quick to return a dish and when I came back, you guys  tore up the left over cake lol.

> We were able to climb Mt. Seorak and Mt. Jiri.  You  climbed better than the other big kids we went with so we were so proud of you.

2007 Highlights

> Your  second birthday was celebrated at Tito Rick's house.  It was really a fun celebration.

2006 Highlights

> When you turned one year old, we were still living at Pap's house  then.  It was a simple and yet meaningful celebration.

2005 - the year you were born.  We almost lost you that day but God has a plan for you so He saved you!

Now, I know that you always think that I love your brother more than you but it's not true.  Your Dad and I both love you just the same.  You and your brother are our precious  treasures.  We are  proud of you both and we love you very much!  Happy birthday once again.  I pray always that you and your brother will be safe from harm and will grow up as good and responsible individuals.
