Imagine a Beautiful Birth

Before I  go on with the details about the expert Austin midwives, let me tell you what  has transpired  during Holy Week at our end.

We had a very busy week during the Easter holiday.   We took the opportunity to  do our landscaping project  while  the kids are off from school and hubby had a four-day weekend.  We had a fun-filled weekend  with family and friends.  Aside from celebrating the occasion  with the family, some Filipino friends also invited us to an egg-hunting  get together at Starvaggi Park.  The kids had a blast and I enjoyed some delicious  Pinoy foods!

I also got to see the  one-month old baby of one of the Filipinas who attended the  party.  She said that her baby was 8 pounds and 8 ounces big when  she was born.  Oh my goodness, I thought my son was huge but her baby outweighed  my son lol.  But anyhow, we were teasing her because she said that she told her hubby that there would be no  love-making in two years hahaha.  I was amazed the she delivered the baby  normally considering that she  is a  skinny woman.

But anyhow, seeing the baby reminds me of my two pregnancies.    We almost lost our first born when her  umbilical cord wrapped around her neck and her heartbeat stop.  I was going to deliver the baby normally but that situation occurred so I was rushed to the emergency  room  and had the C-Section.    I was thankful that my OB Gyne and the nurses were  so good that they  managed to saved our   baby.

Being pregnant is a joyous experience but   very challenging  at the same time.  You never knew what's ahead of you during the pregnancy that is why, it is  important to  be ready  for all the possibilities.  The link I have provided above caters to the Birthing Center in Austin.  The place have  well-trained and well-experienced  midwives that could help pregnant women enjoy a beautiful birth.

Human Body

One of my daughter's favorite book to read is about Anatomy of the Human body, the Bible,  Geology books, and Science.  She is an opposite of me, she is like my husband when it comes to  subjects of books that  they want to read.
She borrowed this  from the library and was lecturing me all about it lol.  She actually  knows  more stuff about Human Body that I don't know of.  I am glad that my little girl love to read and write.  She  knows shifted from writing short stories to wring short poems.  Most of it are pretty funny.

Easter Craft

Ms. Burrito had this craft from their class when they had their pre-Easter celebration.  It has magnet at the back so we put it at our refrigerator.
I hope you all have a safe and happy Easter celebration..    This time of the year reminds our family when we first learn that my BIl had a cancer.   He had a  surgery after  Easter Sunday and  after seven months, he passed away.  We miss you Dave!

LEGO is Done

Ms. Burrito is off this week for the holy week. The school did not used up their snow days so the students were given extra days off for Lent.  Ms. Burrito asked  me if she could blog I agreed but with one condition.  I challenged her to finish the lego for her brother and she did.
Have a great week ahead.

Water Globe

We always get an invitation from Ms. Burrito's classmates during their birthdays but we seldom ever go. We finally attended to one last month because it was a bowling party.  We went to Things Remembered and  got this water glob from Danbury Falls.

Her name and her  friend's name were carved in the metal plate of the water globe.
Both of the Burritos had so much fun during that day.

Cowboy Hats

Here's my little cowgirl and cowboy. They are wearing the hats that our family has given them during our first meeting in Disney World last year (thanks a lot  to the Dias family). These were taken at the hotel where we stayed for five days.
They still wear these hats whenever we go out on sunny days.

Little Kindness

Whenever  Ms. Burrito received some  treats from school, she always brings it at home and  share it with his brother.  I am so thankful that I become a parent, that I have two kids who  shows kindness and love.
She likes to encourage  Mr. Burrito into doing crafts with him.  She got these  little stuff during St. Patrick's day and  the two of them did it together.
