Best Friend Forever

My BFF Amber is transferring to another school because they are moving to Pennsylvania. It is really sad to know that one of my friends is leaving my school again. Two of my very good friends during kindergarten has transferred to St. Paul this school year which made me very sad too.

We had a small  party  at our classroom today for Amber.  I am glad that I was able to  be with her  for two extra days during our school days off.  She came to my brother's birthday party and then we  went to the mall last Monday.  I will miss you my BFF!
The necklace  is a Christmas present that I received from her.  Thank you, I will treasure this forever.  I have two BFFs now that gave me  pink necklace.  My BFF Akesha lives  faraway from us and now my BFF Amber is also moving away.
My Mom took this picture of me and Amber  before the two of us said our  goodbyes and gave each other a hug.  I am sad that both of my BFF  lives far from me but I am happy that I met and spent time with them.  I hope that someday, we could still see each other.

Angel's Marching

On All Saint's Day, the kindergarten and First graders  at SJS  has to wear a costume either as a Saint or an Angel. When Ms. Burrito was in kindergarten, she chose to be a St. Agnes while this year, she preferred to be an Angel.  Below are  the photos of the Angels marching towards the Altar.
I bought this outfit online, she really love it.  Too bad, she only wore it twice.
The priest at our church is very nice.  Every  occasion, he gives us parents, the chance to take pictures of the kids after the  ceremony or celebration.
Ms. Burrito might be the shortest and smallest among the  the first graders but for us she is big and tall as she can face the crowd without fear.  She is way better than me lol.

First Communion

Another milestone has passed in one of our  precious  child's age.  Our youngest turned 5 years old today which means that he will  start  going to  school this year.  With the lessons we were having at home, I  am  confident that he is now ready to  enter  kindergarten.  Another big milestone is about to happen to our   daughter, she will be having  her first communion sometime in May of this year.  I have been looking around  for some white dress that she can wear so that when the  time is here,  it will be ready. The first graders at St. Joe school will receive their first communion when they are in first grade.  Something that my daughter  is looking forward to so she could also partake during the communion  ceremony at church during masses.

Some parents  celebrate this occasion with big party so they invite  friends and family for a big gathering.     If you are planning to  have Communion invitations  sent out to your friends and family, check out the First Communion invitations at Communion Cards website.  They have a so many selections of different designs  for both boys First Communion invitations and for girls.    In a couple of years,  our son will  have his first communion too so it is nice to find these resources online.  So far, I only found  one store here in our area that sells  outfits  for communion but I am still looking around.  You can celebrate your child's journey  with a savings of 20% off by using  the coupon code SAVE at Communion Cards.

I remember when my husband had his first communion.  He  had it before we got married at church.  He was a very lucky man to receive four important blessing that day at church which includes baptism, first communion, confirmation, and the sacrament of  wedding.  I am glad he turned into the religion that I am because we are now  practicing one as a family.

Zing

Zing  means to move with a high-pitched hum.  The SJS choir  are really good in doing the Zing during the  Christmas Eve mass.  Ms. Burrito was one of the choirs who sung on the said mass.
It's amaZing how the church can be so full  during Christmas masses but    shrinks back when the holiday is over.  Our church was packed that night,  even the  balcony part was occupied and the sides were both packed.

We received a  Thank You note from the music teacher  and Principal of the school saying that those students who sang at the mas will have a lunch treat on Wednesday.  That's very nice of them.

Fur Friends

Hi everyone, happy weekend.  Mom authorized me to post one on the weekends as long as I am done with my  homework.  Some of my  classmates and also my friends were dressed as  dog and cat.  My friend J   has a dog outfit and  beow that is my friend  A wearing a cat outfit.

Now this is  our favorite fur baby, he is a very good dog.  I love Champ because even if I dressed him up or put something to him like necklace or something, he does not mind at all.  We love you Champ!

Yearbook

We ordered a copy of the yearbook when Ms. Burrito was in Kindergarten.  Some of her favorite classmates last year has   transferred to  St. Paul's this school year so she's glad that she has a reference to look back too.
Most of the schools has a 2-hour delay today which makes Ms. Burrito a little lighter as she is not very fond of  waking up early.
