Johnny Appleseed Day

I am sure that  people who love  apples  knows the origin of the Appleseed Day  celebration.  I just learned that when my children started going to school.  This  celebration is dedicated to a man named Jonathan  Chapman, an american pioneer nursery man who introduced  apple trees to large parts of Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, and West Virginia.  He became a legend and  known as Johnny Appleseed because of  his  project of planting an apple seed  everywhere he went.
Every class  has activities like making caramel apples and did some crafts.

  6. I've read a book about Johnny Appleseed when I was a kid, but I didn't know his last name is Chapman. Now I know, thanks for sharing. I guess we should all be thankful to him, right, especially people who love to eat apples. Thanks for the visits, sis!
