Animal Stories from Wisdom Tales

School break is nice because the kids gets to sleep in  everyday and of course I don't have to wake up early as well.  Being off to school does not mean that they can do whatever they want.  I still make sure to provide them activities at home that would stimulate their minds like reading and other  art projects.  I am so glad that Wisdom Tales Press has partnered with this blog and provide my kids with wonderful books to read that would surely  give them life  learning lessons.
The third book that I received is "The Panda and their Chopsticks". This book  does not only contain one story but different short stories of animals that  has quotes at the end of each story.  All of the story teaches valuable lessons.   Things that they can use  as kids  and towards adult life.
My daughter love the story of the "Panda and their Chopsticks" and my son  love the story of the "The Fox who was King  of the Forest".  I highly recommend this book  if you want your kids to have  great book to read this summer.
By far, this is their favorite one as the stories are short and they get to   interpret what the quotes meant at the end of each story.  The illustrations are very colorful which  is very interesting for the kids.  Demi, is an award winning author, features animal stories  of Asian folktales  that provide valuable lessons for little hearts and minds to absorb.  Thank you so much once again Wisdom Tales!

USS Requin Submarine at Carnegie Science Center

Mommy told us that when she was growing up, she wished that they have a camera but her parents  can't afford it so she never had any picture of her growing up. I think that is the main reason why she made sure to take pictures of me and my brother no matter what we do. I call it obsession actually because she never failed to capture every moment he he he. Peace Mom. I mean, I like it that she does that because we have so many things to look back to. Just like when we were babies, we have so many album of photos. My oh my, we looked so different when we were babies. I have kanckles (is that how you call it) and I have rolls ha ha ha!
She gets frustrated when she wants to take a good picture of us but  me and my brother keeps  making faces of making  goofy poses ha ha ha.  These photos were taken when we went to Carnegie Science Center in Pittsburgh.
I just love summer, I get to post here in my blog once in a while when Mommy is away from the computer ha ha ha.  I was not able to make a post for my Dad's birthday though, I feel bad.
We have so many pictures taken when we went to Carnegie Science Center but I only saw a couple of posts that Mommy have made so this is another one contributed by me.
I took this opportunity to write this post while Mommy is cooking breakfast.  Thank you very much for dropping by and for commenting.

Pool Plunge at Sheraton Hotel

We stayed at Sheraton Hotel  in Palo Alto California during the Doodle4Google event.  One of the amenities that we liked is the swimming pool.  They jumped on it on the very first day.  I did not swim  because I wanted to put away our stuff in the closet.  I manged to take some photos  from the window of our room.

Glad the kids had a blast  out there in California.  It might be a short  trip but it was full of fun!

LEGO Fans Met Robotics Designer at Doodle4Google

One of the many highlights of the kids participation during the Doodle4Google event in California was meeting one of the judges who happen to be a Filipino. Mr. Lee Magpili was very humble and so nice. He is Robotics Designer, LEGO Education who was born and raised from Baguio City Philippines.
There was a huge pile of LEGO pieces at the Crash Pad where kids can build anything that they like.  This is what drawn  Mr. Burrito's  attention immediately.
The lady whose with Mr. Magpili was very nice too.
Here's what his biography say about him:

"Since 2010, Lee has been designing models for LEGO Education and has since been responsible for the overall play experience and models for the LEGO® MINDSTORMS® EV3 Education Core Set released in August 2013. Lee has designed over 30 models for LEGO Education up to date and continues to innovate the future of learning with small plastic bricks and robotics. Previously, Lee has been a Robotics Instructor and FIRST LEGO League Coach for teams and programs throughout New York City and its surrounding suburbs."
"Driven with a passion for his medium, Lee builds amazing LEGO Creations inside and outside of work, as well as continues ties with Adult Fans of LEGO worldwide. He especially works with the Robotics Experts of the MINDSTORMS Community and helps spread the word of LEGO Robotics to the uninitiated. And, if you don’t find him with LEGO in his hand, you can find Lee traveling the world with a camera on his face and dancing shoes on his feet."
We got to talked to him during the "Meet and Greet" at the Crash Pad during the first day.  My son was so fascinated of the robot that Mr. Magpili built  out of LEGO pieces built.
Mr. Magpili let Mr. Burrito  play with one of the  small robots.
I am so glad that the little Mister was able to participate on this fun event.

Facial Expressions

When I am in deep thought or  listening to something serious, this is how I look.
When I am explaining something and trying to prove my  thoughts, I look like this.
 When I am delighted!
When I am satisfied and happy.
Egg noodles, a bowl fruit and a cup of iced tea, I can have these  every day!

Torrance Music Recital 2014

Hello everyone, it's me.  I am glad that we have two computers here at home. I don't have to bug my Mom when she is working on something at her desk.   Since it is  school break, I can  post again here in my blog or mainly my Mom's blog.  I know that she posted some of these photos of my recital at her Music blog but I am posting one here anyway, just to document my event.  Here are some photos that Mom and Dad took before we went to the recital.
My brother was goofing around so Mom scolded him that's why he was not smiling on the photo above.  I don't know why my brother  would act like he is annoyed when  I have an event but I think he is jealous.  Mom and Dad are encouraging him to engage into something but he  would not stick to it.  He was doing really good with his gymnastics and then suddenly, he did not want to go anymore.
Thanks Ate Lizzy for this picture
I want to thank our family/neighbors who came to my recital.  Thanks Tita Angie, Ate Lizzy, Ate Sarah, and Lolo!
We went to Eat n' Park after the recital.  I wonder why my Mom did not take photos of it but I think it's because she was busy  talking to Tita Angie hehehe (peace Mom).
The only photo she took is when we arrived at the restaurant.
If you want to see my performance,  kindly watch it at my Mom's  Music blog.  I think this is the link http://www.music-and-arts-of-life.com/2014/06/the-hunters.html#.U5BsAPldXNA.  I don't know how to put the codes and thingy to make the link but I guess you can use  it to put in your browser to see the video.  I am sure she also  uploaded it in facebook or youtube.  Thank you so much for  visiting.  Make sure to leave me a comment, sure appreciate it so much!  Till next time.
