Warm Weather Weekend

We had a warm weather last weekend so we took the opportunity to take our fur babies for a walk.  My daughter was still sick that time so I went alone.  I took Bolt first, we went around the neighborhood.  I love to take this guy  for a walk because  he just walk beside me unlike Champ who pulls constantly.
When I came back home, I took  Champ and my son came with me.  Mr. Burrito suggested that we should take Champ  in the woods so that's what we did.  It was a great idea actually because  Champ did not offer to   bark or pull, he got busy sniffing deer's  urine and poop hehehe.
Photos were taken by my Samsung Galaxy phone, glad I brought it as I was able to capture of the beautiful day we had.

We had a grand time  in the woods and I am glad that we took the opportunity to go out because now it is cold here again.

Internet is a Blessing

I am so thankful that   Internet existed.  I don't think I would  have  met my husband without it.    The student assistant  at the  Student Affairs Office  introduced me to an online dating site.    She was the one who  created my account/profile as I was very busy back then writing my thesis.

At the last hour of the  free trial for my account, this US Navy guy  sent me a  message and that was the start.  We communicated for  almost six months, got to know each other through chat and phone calls.  Then on March 22, 2003, he decided to visit my country  and met me in person for the first time.

Six months after   his first visit, he came back and we got married and the rest is history.  Internet is a really a blessing for me, I am now married for almost ten years and have two  precious children.
I couldn't imagine my life without Internet.  It is part of my love story.  Here's a photo of me and my husband during our first "real date".

So glad I gave  an online dating a try.  Look what I could have missed if I didn't..   Thanks to my  angel "Ruth" for hooking me a up.

Dental Hygiene

February was a dental month.  Ms. Burrito made this tooth photo in school and brought it home.
We had our dental appointment last week. The Burritos and I had our annual oral prophylaxis.  We have to go back there two mire times for the Burrito's teeth filling and for my second cleaning.
Our dentists are Filipinos, they are husband and wife who  owns a dental clinic.  They are  very nice people.  A very humble couple considering  their status, hats off to the Alimarios'!  MY husband goes to  the male dentist and me and the kids  goes to the female dentist.
Our dentist  gave me  three tubes of  toothpaste  for sensitivity.  One of my tooth is very sensitive to cold and hot liquid.

Hello Kitty Girl

This Hello Kitty puzzle was a gift  to Ms. Burrito by her cousin last Christmas.  These two can get along so good whenever they are doing puzzles so when they are bickering with each other, I always whipped out one puzzle set for them to do and  it calms them down.  Well, it doesn't always works but  most of the time it does.
Anyhow, we were at the mall last weekend and I looked at the sale at Macy's.  Ms. Burrito is always a tag-along with Mommy as she likes to  try on what I bring in the  fitting area lol.  She found this Hello Kitty top and she  let me tie it at the back so she could try it on.  It was on sale for a few bucks so when she asked if she could have it, I said yes.
She said I can "borrow" it from her but  it's even bigger for me lol.

Crocheted Poncho & a Lumber Jax

When Ms. Burrito was about two years old, one of my father-in-law's neighbor liked her very much that she  crocheted a poncho and gave it to her.  She never got to use till this year.  We still say hi to the Lady whenever we visit  Dad in Marland Heights.  She is a very kind lady.

A big thank you to the Howells family for making Mr. Burrito  a delightful weekend.  They gave him a late birthday present.  Thank you very much guys, you are such angels and we are so grateful that  we are one one of your neighbors.

PosyLane Backpack

Posy Lane
I am grateful that I was given an opportunity to work with Posylane, a place where you can  buy your children some personalized stuff such as kindergarten nap mats, tote bag, towel wrap and a lot more that your kids will be proud to have.

I chose this Cherry Quilted backpack from one of the Stephen Joseph backpacks selection and Ms. Burrito loves it.  She will be using this to  put her gym clothes every Thursday on their gym class in school.  She was going to make a video for this one but right now, she is feeling  a little bit under the weather so it will come soon.
These came in the mail at the same time/day.  Green  and pink products, color coding eh?
She's very happy that her name was in it.  She said that maybe, her friends will learn how to write her name correctly as they always write RILEY instead of Rylie.
As you can see our fur babies are always up for photo shoot as well lol.
Below is the video she made last night. She locked herself in the bathroom to shoot this.
If you are looking for a  good quality of products that you can personalized for your kids, try visiting PosyLane.  They have a huge selection of backpacks with different designs, nap mats, tote bag, duffle bag, towel wrap and more.

Disclaimer:  The product mentioned above was given for FREE in exchange for an honest review.  I was not  financially compensated to write this article.

The Sacrament of Reconciliation

Last Monday was Ms. Burrito's first confession. She received the second sacrament of being a Catholic.  It is a very important sacrament as the kids learn how to ask for forgiveness.  We came very early to church so I had the chance to  take a picture of her in front of the altar while  there were still no people in the church.
We took our son with us even though he was not feeling very well because he wanted to see how is it done as he will be doing the same  in a couple of years.  There were two priests and one of them was the one who baptized both of our kids.  We let our daughter confessed to him.  After the confession, my husband  has accompanied  Ms. Burrito to different stations where teachers  gave them something that is relevant to the sacrament of reconciliation.  My husband taught it was a very special bonding as he got to pray with her silently.

Here's the funny part, before the  reconciliation, we practiced her the whole process.  I acted as a priest.  After she recited the necessary  prayers, I asked her

Me:  What are you going to confess?
Ms. B.  That I  fight with my brother sometimes.
Me:  Doesn't it happen all the time?
Ms. B.  (Looked at me smiling and said).. Yeah, I guess.

We both laughed.

It was a  very beautiful experience both for the kids and parents.
