A Date with my Daughter

Hubby and I decided to buy a camping tent because we are planning to go camping before this summer ends. To make sure that the set was complete, we set it up at our backyard.
Our Burritos agreed that  they will be  sleeping out that night but Mr. Burrito backed out lol.
So to avoid  disappointment from Ms. Burrito, I decided to join in with her.  Look who  jumped in  the tent as well?  It's Bolt, he did not want to miss the fun!
We had some snacks and drinks.
This Coleman Sunset Dunes tent  is wide enough to  fit a queen size  mattress.
I used our sleeping bag that we bought in Korea.  Ms. Burrito used the sleeping  bag that she  received as a gift from Tita Demcy.
I never experienced camping in my life so it was my first time.  Even though it was at our backyard, I have so many things running in my mind that  night lol.
It was a full moon so we  had Bolt with us, he served as our guard dog that night.
We slept soundly the entire night.  It was a very special date with my daughter.

Picnic at the Creek

Hello everyone, how's your weekend been? We had a fun one, we ended our weekend with swimming at my brother-in-law's swimming pool down in Chester, West Virginia.  Below are the rest of the photos we took when we  went to  Raccoon Creek.
Aside from  swimming in the creek, we always  do a little bit of climbing at the  Raccoon's walking trail.  It's fun for the kids because they see different kinds of critters in the woods.
Before closing this post, let me invite you to Color Connection meme in this blog.  It is every Friday, the linky is up on Thursday.  So come and join the fun when you can.

Grandparents

We really have great neighbors and friends in our neighborhood.  One of pour closest neighbors are the Fancher's.  They treat  our children like their own grandchildren.  The Burrito's called them "Lolo" and "Lola", the tagalog terms for grandpa and grandma.  We maybe  far from my family but I teach my kids some Filipino culture and tradition. Below were photos  I took  a couple of days ago at the Fancher's  backyard.
I captured  the water perfectly as it came out Ms. Burrito's kisser lol.  she chipped off her molar  that day so the couple were inspecting on it.
The neighbor on the other street had their yard sale and the kids hid under this bamboo hammock.
Thanks to Don and Ruth for being so kind and nice to us.  This couple are such a  blessing to our  family.
with  the Fancher's grandson, Josh.
I am so thankful that we are blessed with good neighbors.

Bolt

"Eaney Meany Miney Mo, Who among you want to go?"
This  little guy came to Ms. Burrito...
.... but I like this charming  guy more.
We named him Bruno at first but the kids  changed their mind and decided to name him after the movie "Bolt".
We brought champ for his wellness check up last week  and we also brought Bolt to get his first shots.
They were so good at the vet's office so we bought them some treats.
