Flowers and Other Special Things My Children Gave Me on Mother's Day

Have you been racking your brain trying to come up with a good Mother's Day gift? Perhaps the best gift is one of the simplest. Rather than wasting your money on an expensive gift that your mother may not ever use or appreciate, you might want to get her a gift that every woman on the planet would enjoy. People have been giving flowers as gifts for literally thousands of years. This speaks volumes about their ability to delight those who receive them. You can order Mothers Day flowers and gifts from Fresh Flowers. Here are some of the many advantages of giving flowers as a gift.

They will not break your bank

These are difficult economic times we are living in. Therefore, you need to be careful how you spend your money. If you are on a budget and you have a limited amount of money with which to buy a gift, flowers are an ideal choice. You can get a lovely flower arrangement at a price that will not set you back very much. The person you are giving the flowers to, whether it is your mom or someone else, will appreciate the thought and effort you put into your gift. Flowers are the perfect gift for people who are looking to buy a beautiful gift and not go bankrupt in the process.

They are suitable for many occasions

There are certain gifts which are only suitable to give on specific occasions. However, this is not the case when it comes to flowers. For the most part, flowers are suitable for practically any occasion you can think of. If you have a close friend or family member who is welcoming a new child into this world, sending some flowers will be seen as a very considerate gesture on your part. Likewise, flowers are ideal to give people who are graduating college, or even when somebody you care about is recovering in the hospital. No matter what experience people are going through in life, everyone loves to receive flowers.

They will make an impression

If you give a person a gift they are not very interested in, they will soon forget that you even gave it to them. However, this will not happen when you give the gift of flowers. A beautiful arrangement of flowers will stay etched on the recipient's mind. They will not soon forget your kind gift.

Bookworms: The Lesson they Learn from Reading

Warning:  This is a lengthy post as I decided to   incorporate all the book-related   topic that I want to make a post of early on  but did not have enough time to post it individually.

Anyway, on March 16, my children's  school  had their annual book fair.  They  partnered with Scholastic  and  some of us Moms helped the Librarian in facilitating the event.  When it comes to books, I don't mind spending money for my kids because  I know that they learn so much   through reading.
My daughter, being a Minecraft fanatic (well, both of my kids are) she bought another  mine craft book.  She also grabbed  a recipe book and two novel books.  We used a scanner   during the event to filter if there are some  books that are inappropriate for  kids age.   My daughter is like me, she likes   stories that pertains to horror, mysteries, and other  heart-stopping  story line.  She also want to start cooking savory food so I let her bought one recipe book that has simple to follow recipes.
She is done reading with the two books that she bought and she also  wrote a short book report that she shared to her classmates.
I spent around $50 for their books  but I did not mind  because  aside from the lessons they learn from reading them, we also helped the school with fund raising.   My son grabbed a pack of Presidents books.  He is so interested in learning what the previous  Presidents of the United States has done, how their life was, and so on.  He read
Aside from the books that  we book from the book fair, my daughter has also finished  reading different books that I got her previously.  Some of these books are from the  ones that I redeemed from Kelloggs.
The more that you read. The more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.” Dr. Seuss
I would love to share with you a great book company that I work with may times.  They have a huge selection of books that  are not only  has great illustrations and  stories  but it is also filled with  lessons that  children can learn.  I am talking about Wisdom Tales,  They sent me these two books to review.  The first one is "Just Like Me, Climbing a Tree." Kids nowadays are not so much with climbing trees anymore.  When I was growing up, we didn't have fancy toys so we entertained ourselves with outdoor stuff,  I love my childhood and I  always tell my kids what I did as a kid.
This book is  all about  the fun activity of climbing trees.  It also offers a subtle lesson of multiculturalism.  It describes 12 distinctive trees  from around the  world and the local children that climb them.  Both of the Burritos love this book because they learn some facts about certain trees.
The second book is the "When the animals Saved Earth".   This book is inspired  by a 1000-year old fable with a fascinating multi-faith history.  Most of the times when I we read, I asked my kids questions after wards.  This time, I let them read the book and  asked them to write their thoughts about the story.

My bookworm Burritos have  learned to love reading and  also writing.
My Burritos both have iPods but it doesn't mean that they can bury their faces   in it every time they want to but they don't because I give  them limit in using them.  They can play with it on school days but only after they are done with their home works.  They are only allowed an hour a day and during the weekend, I gave them two hours of playing their mine craft.  Reading books is  an everyday  activity here at home.  At first, they resisted but now they love reading because they   have proven that they not only widen their understanding of things but it also  enhanced their  vocabulary.

Hello Kitty: Birthday in a Box for our Little Miss

Disclosure: The author of this blog was NOT financially compensated to write this review. I was provided with the products mentioned in exchange of my honest opinion which may differ from yours.

My daughter is  just like any other girls who like Hello Kitty stuff.    From clothes to accessories, to puzzles, and lunch boxes, you name it.  She has a collection of  Hello Kitty jewelry and  a jewelry box that was given to her as a gift by   a family friend.  Here are some if her Hello Kitty moments.

That's why when I told her that  we are going to celebrate her 10th birthday this year with a Hello Kitty theme, she was   so happy.  I got her this Birthday in a Box Hello Kitty  kit and she's so excited and can't wait for  the day to come.  Whoever started this Birthday in a Box idea is  brilliant because you can get  all ,the   things you need  for one price.
The  box includes cake plates, dinner plates, party napkins, party cups, party beverage, party table cover, party blowers, party banner party center piece, hot pink mylar star balloon,  solid curling ribbon, lime star mylar balloon, birthday candles,  bright blue cutlery set,   and solid crepe streamers.
This birthday in a box is perfect because we don't usually have   a lot of guests, just  few close friends and family so the number of stuff is just about enough for all of us.  Our daughter's  birthday is not until July but I am glad that we have this box already, that is lone less to worry about  about.  She already told us that she wants an Hello Kitty cake to solidify the theme.  Luckily, we still have  few more months to  prepare for that.
Those party blowers would  be in full use.  Kids love making noises so having those  blowers during the party is great.
I like that they sent two colors of foil balloons.
These colorful candles  would make the cake  complete.
If you  Like Birthday in a Box on Facebook, you will be able to  enjoy their deals and not miss any of their  promos.
I told my kids how  lucky they are to have  an opportunity to enjoy things such birthday party.  I never had a party growing up  because my parents can't afford to  so I am glad that we can give  it to our kids.
We celebrated my son's birthday with a Minion theme so I am glad that we can also celebrate our daughter's  birthday with the theme that she likes.
I love that you can add a number on the  party banner.
If your daughter love Hello Kitty and she is celebrating her birthday soon, you may want to consider getting the birthday in a box.  Here is a 10% coupon code REVISIT  that you can use at birthdayinabox.com

I can't believe that my daughter will be in two digits this year.  Time flies and I am kind of sad that   they are growing up so fast.  I mean I am glad that they are  growing up the way we want them to be but it's just bitter-sweet that  my babies are now little grown up people! I guess that's my Separation -anxiety kicking in lol.  Am I the only one who feel that way about  their  children?
