Sweet Valentine Treats

Ms. Burrito did not go to school last Monday because of her colds.  We thought that  she won't be able to go  on the next day because she was fevered on Monday night.  We were surprised when  I woke up and check on her if she's still sick, she sat up right away and said that she feel a lot better.
Do you know what the motivation was?  The valentine's day celebration in school!  She did not want to miss that one.  They made a valentine box  at their arts  class and  they each put some treat for each boxes.  She came home with lots of treats.
Ms. Burrito isn't a sweet tooth, she is like me when it comes to sweet, while the boys in the family are the ones with sweet teeth.  So Mr. Burrito was smiling from ear to ear because he is the sole recipient of the sweet treats lol.
Do you remember that  little boy (Ms. Burrito's classmate) who asked her for a date?  He gave  my daughter a set of Chanel Earrings.  Now, I plan to ask his Mom if she knows about  it because this brand of earrings is not something that a  little boy would give to a 6 year old girl.  I might  returned this to the boy's mom if she doesn't know about it..
I may have to tell this kid to  concentrate on his studies first and  enjoy his childhood and forget about girls  while he is still young.  I don't know if I am in that right position but it's starting to bother me.

Entertainment for Kids

Due to the series of vaccination shots that Mr. Burrito had, he was skeptical to go to the doctor. However, there were red spots that was emerging from his feet so we had to bring him to the doctor again. Although it wasn't bothering him, we had to make sure that doctor could take a look at it to make sure. The doctor doesn't know what it is though so we came home empty and clueless.
While waiting  for us to be called, they spent time watching the fishes inside the  big aquarium.  The establishments's huge   fish tank or aquarium is  a very good entertainment for the kids while waiting in the lobby.
We have no idea   what these red spots are.  We gave him some  benadryl and it seemed to help a little bit.
When we came out  at the doctor's office, it was snowing very hard.
Our weekend was spent running errands and playing in the snow.  The kids  went sled riding at their Pap's  side yard.

A Trip to the Park

We had a good weather last Sunday so we made a trip to a nearby park to let the kids play.
It wasn't cold for the kids but it was for me lol.
This mysterious cloud caught my attention.
Few more weeks and we would be enjoying  the beauty of Spring.  Thank God for the mild winter.

Catholic School Week

This week  is a  the celebration of the Catholic School Week at St. Joe's.  This year's  focus is Faith, Academics, and Service.    Everyday since Monday, they have  activities.

  • Monday - Open House - Parents and grandparents were invited to school to sin in the class and observe.
  • Tuesday - Teacher's Day -  Ms. Burrito gave  her teacher something.
  • Wednesday - Student's Day - We served  sundae for   all the students..
  • Thursday - Mass at the  St. Joe's church for Faith and Service
  • Friday - Academic is the concentration  on this day.  Teachers will switch classes.

Below is the reward that Ms. Burrito  got from her teacher.    She  got the most stickers among the girls for the behavioral  chart.  Every nine weeks, the teacher gives  the student who has the most stickers with a prize.    Every good deed that they do, they get a sticker for it and place it beside their names on the behavior chart.
Here are the rest of the pictures I took last Monday.  Mr. Burrito got to experience  being a  real student in school.
Some of the artworks that students did, posted on the wall.
Both Ms. Burrito and Billy got the reward for this month.  I think Billy is a Vietnamese but I am not sure.
The cute  heart people that the first grade made.  They hang it inside their classroom.
Being able to sit inside the classroom was a great experience  as a parent.

Counting

Hello everyone, it is me again, Ms. Burrito.  These photos were taken last year.  Before Christmas,  my brother and I counted   the money we have saved from our piggy bank, then  Mom and Dad accompanied us in the mall.  Me and my brother wanted to give  something for our parents.  We bought Dad some sleepwear, most of it has smiley face design and we always giggles when he wears it hehehe.
Here's my brother busy counting  the coins he had in his piggy.  For a year, I think we have saved over  one hundred dollars each including the Christmas and birthday   money that  our  Pap gave us.  Mom insisted  that we saved it instead of buying toys because we already have so many toys at home.
It is nice to save  because you will have something to buy  the things that you want on especial occasion.  Below was taken as we were counting the minutes before the start of the new year.
My Mom and Dad always tells us not to forget  to count and thank God for the blessings that we received.

Journey in Parenting

Parenthood is a journey unlike any other. While becoming a parent brings immense joy and pride, it also carries increased costs. If you’re finding it difficult to cover the expenses of becoming a new parent, consider taking out a loan to get you through this difficult time. The following are a few circumstances when paydays loans are often useful as well as suggestions for borrowing responsibly.

Handling Birth Complications
Having a child with birth complications is not a possibility that parents-to-be want to consider. If you didn’t save in advance for the costs of possible birth complications and are now left with emergency care expenses, you may not know where to turn. At this difficult time, your best option may be to take out a loan. This loan will lessen your stress and will ensure your child receives the necessary care.

Meeting a Baby’s Needs
From a new crib to a car seat, many costs come with having children. As you begin purchasing the items needed to welcome your newborn home, you’ll likely be surprised by the total expense of creating a comfortable nursery. When facing a temporary cash shortage, a short-term loan will bring the fast funds needed to keep your newborn comfortable during the first crucial days at home.

Reducing Parenting Stress
Bringing a baby home from the hospital brings many worries. At this time, you’re likely worrying about keeping the baby safe and may wonder if you’re capable of meeting all parenting duties. When financial strain is also accompanying the situation, the stress can be nearly unbearable. Rather focusing on the money you don’t have, begin considering your options for resolving the money shortage such as by taking out a short term loan.

Asking Lending Questions
A loan may be your saving grace when faced with a cash shortage as a new parent. Prior to taking out an emergency cash loan, ask yourself a few responsible lending questions. This includes assessing the exact amount you need to borrow and how much time you would prefer to take during the repayment phase. This will lead to responsible borrowing so you can repay the debt sooner while you work to get onto more solid financial ground.

Many parents are strapped for cash and it’s a situation that shouldn’t cause embarrassment. Rather, if you lack the money needed to care for your newborn, begin researching the financial options available to help you handle these difficult times. By doing what’s necessary to provide for your child’s needs, you’ll be a better parent and will be more able to focus on the joys of raising children.

Trampoline Fun

We had a good bit of snow fall last weekend and the Burritos took  the opportunity to go out and play. They chased each other at the backyard first and then they decided to  jump in the trampoline with snow in it of course.
I was freezing  but I went out with them for a while until I couldn't take it anymore.  Even if I am bundled up, I still get so cold easy.  Champ stayed with the kids the whole time they were there.
When they came in, we prepared some grilled cheese and hot coco for them.  They had a blast with their outdoor  activity that day!  Warm or cold, that's the  image of happiness  at our  home.
