Accidents Happen

Hubby and I are the type of parents that can be very  protective of our kids.  My SIL used to call me a worry-worth because I can't sit comfortably in my chair if I can't see where my kids are, my husband is the same way.  We watch like a hawk whenever we are outdoors, in the playground, and anywhere we go.  That's why when I first send my daughter to school, I felt sick because I was not comfortable being away from her.

Anyway, accidents happen which we don't have control of no matter how we tried.  It's part of growing up, they always say.  Well, let me tell you what happened to my son's fat lip.  I was doing my exercise routine  one day and  I did not  notice that my son has crawled beside me to get the timy ball that he is teasing our dog with.  When I lifted my hand, bum, the weight (4 lbs) hit his lip.  I felt so bad.

I am just so glad that after we put some  ice pack on it, the swelling went away.  Thank goodness.

  1. Aww poor thing I hope he feels better soon - you can never stop accidents happening the amount of times I ended up in A&E as a kid and I was always banging my head at school.

  5. Awe! I hope his lips are much better now. I had the same accident with Harley when I was working out, but it didn't hit him on the lip, but on his head. I was doing my boxing workout with weighted gloves and hit him on the head when I turned around. Didn't see him coming and he didn't listen when I told him to not get near me when I workout. They learn that way.

  7. I hope his lips are feeling better by now, mommy. These types of things sometimes we just can't prevent and I bet he learned from that experience as well. Poor young man. He has lovely eyes, by the way.
