Hello Kitty Girl

This Hello Kitty puzzle was a gift  to Ms. Burrito by her cousin last Christmas.  These two can get along so good whenever they are doing puzzles so when they are bickering with each other, I always whipped out one puzzle set for them to do and  it calms them down.  Well, it doesn't always works but  most of the time it does.
Anyhow, we were at the mall last weekend and I looked at the sale at Macy's.  Ms. Burrito is always a tag-along with Mommy as she likes to  try on what I bring in the  fitting area lol.  She found this Hello Kitty top and she  let me tie it at the back so she could try it on.  It was on sale for a few bucks so when she asked if she could have it, I said yes.
She said I can "borrow" it from her but  it's even bigger for me lol.

Crocheted Poncho & a Lumber Jax

When Ms. Burrito was about two years old, one of my father-in-law's neighbor liked her very much that she  crocheted a poncho and gave it to her.  She never got to use till this year.  We still say hi to the Lady whenever we visit  Dad in Marland Heights.  She is a very kind lady.

A big thank you to the Howells family for making Mr. Burrito  a delightful weekend.  They gave him a late birthday present.  Thank you very much guys, you are such angels and we are so grateful that  we are one one of your neighbors.

PosyLane Backpack

Posy Lane
I am grateful that I was given an opportunity to work with Posylane, a place where you can  buy your children some personalized stuff such as kindergarten nap mats, tote bag, towel wrap and a lot more that your kids will be proud to have.

I chose this Cherry Quilted backpack from one of the Stephen Joseph backpacks selection and Ms. Burrito loves it.  She will be using this to  put her gym clothes every Thursday on their gym class in school.  She was going to make a video for this one but right now, she is feeling  a little bit under the weather so it will come soon.
These came in the mail at the same time/day.  Green  and pink products, color coding eh?
She's very happy that her name was in it.  She said that maybe, her friends will learn how to write her name correctly as they always write RILEY instead of Rylie.
As you can see our fur babies are always up for photo shoot as well lol.
Below is the video she made last night. She locked herself in the bathroom to shoot this.
If you are looking for a  good quality of products that you can personalized for your kids, try visiting PosyLane.  They have a huge selection of backpacks with different designs, nap mats, tote bag, duffle bag, towel wrap and more.

The Sacrament of Reconciliation

Last Monday was Ms. Burrito's first confession. She received the second sacrament of being a Catholic.  It is a very important sacrament as the kids learn how to ask for forgiveness.  We came very early to church so I had the chance to  take a picture of her in front of the altar while  there were still no people in the church.
We took our son with us even though he was not feeling very well because he wanted to see how is it done as he will be doing the same  in a couple of years.  There were two priests and one of them was the one who baptized both of our kids.  We let our daughter confessed to him.  After the confession, my husband  has accompanied  Ms. Burrito to different stations where teachers  gave them something that is relevant to the sacrament of reconciliation.  My husband taught it was a very special bonding as he got to pray with her silently.

Here's the funny part, before the  reconciliation, we practiced her the whole process.  I acted as a priest.  After she recited the necessary  prayers, I asked her

Me:  What are you going to confess?
Ms. B.  That I  fight with my brother sometimes.
Me:  Doesn't it happen all the time?
Ms. B.  (Looked at me smiling and said).. Yeah, I guess.

We both laughed.

It was a  very beautiful experience both for the kids and parents.

Eskimo

Ms. Burrito took home this  Eskimo  project that she  did in school.  Timing for this week's letter in ABC Wednesday.  If you have something  to share to us that  starts with a letter E this week, join us with this educational and enjoyable meme every Wednesday.
In my previous post on my other blog, I've featured our dog, Bolt, who always want to get his picture taken  with Ms. Burrito.  He did it again this time.
I thought that   my children passed the sickness period this Winter but I was  wrong.  Mr. Burrito has been absent in school for two days now.  He has a recurring fever and I feel so bad for the little guy.  He did not want to miss the Mardi Gras party that they are having in school today but he couldn't make it.  I was one of the Moms to help in that party too but  can't make it as I have to take care of him at home.  I hope that he'll feel better soon.
This photo was taken last Sunday.  You can tell that Mr. Burrito is already feeling under the weather that day.  He wasn't in his normal energetic mood.

Career Day

The kids had fun on the third day of the Catholic School's Week celebration, it was a Career Day theme. Students were encouraged to wear a uniform of the professions that they like or they admire.  My son wanted to wear a police man outfit but  I did not have much time to shop for  a costume so I  thought, why not wear one of his Dad's sailor hat.  I also put a Navy insignia on his shirt which made it perfect.

It was more for the small kids than for the big kids.  The little ones are so cute in their outfits.  Some  dressed as doctors, dentists, teacher, and many other professions.  Below is my son with her classmate who wants to be a policeman and  cake decorator.

My daughter  did not really dressed up but she  did some sketches and brought it in class as she represents an Interior Designer.  I took photos of the kids  with my phone but unfortunately, the internet connection in my phone is acting up so I can't upload the photo on this post.
On that the same day, I took my son to  the doctor  because he kept complaining about a pain in his waist.  I ignored it for a couple of weeks because  he always complains when it's time to go to school but since he was complaining a lot already, I thought of having him checked.  The doctor  performed some tests and even   had an XRAY to make sure but did not find anything wrong.  She came to a conclusion which is the same as mine, my little guy is stressed of going to school everyday.

Now that everything  was checked out, he is not  saying that his waist is hurting which is good because I got worried there for a while.  I am glad though that I brought him to the doctor, I don't want to second -guess and find out later that he has something seriously wrong on him.  Glad it turned out okay.

During  Thanksgiving Day, while I was cooking our food, my daughter was busy  making  her Thanksgiving feast as well.  Below is what Thanksgiving in Kid's world.  It's funny when she was explaining what she have cooked.  She said that she incorporated wine into some of her menus.  My 7 year old love watching cooking shows.

Ottilie & Lulu Detangler

I would like to thank Ottilie and Lulu for giving me a chance to be part of their blogger program. I was given a chance to receive a free Feel Good Shampoo & Body Wash and a Shiny  Silky Detangler & Conditioner.  I was suppose to host a giveaway but due to my Burritos being sick and their    hectic scheduled activities in school I chose  just to review the products.

Anyhow, Ms. Burrito really like these products because she finally found the right one to use for her  long dark hair.  She always has troubles with tangled hair  so it was a constant battle for us but now she is happy.  She can just brush her hair by herself without any problem.
After she got out from shower last night, I took a picture of her and she did a short video of her testimony in using the products  (PS... I did not coach her what she has to say, I told her to be realistic and that's what she came up with.  As you can see, it's not perfect and has lots of editing to  be done lol).  Enjoy, and please tell me what you think.

Ottilie & Lulu  makes it easy and fun for tweens or any  girls  to start their daily grooming habits for their skin and hair. Aside from Shampoo and Conditioner, Ottilie & Lulu also  has Everyday Facial Moisturizer & Sunscreen, Body Glow Lotion, and Clean Skin Wipes.

If you have a blog and would like to review and host a giveaway about their product,  follow them  on Facebook to learn about their programs.  Ottilie & Lulu is  designed for a clean, healthy, protected skin and hair especially formulated for tweens.

I posted the said video at their Facebook page and  they liked it that  they asked for my mailing address again so they could send her more products to review.  How awesome, thanks Ottilie & Lulu!   You can read it here  here

Disclaimer:  The products above were given  to us for free in exchange for an honest review.  No  monetary compensation is involve in this article.  Opinions are 100% mine and of my daughter's.

Report Cards

I am so glad that my children got over with their colds after almost a week.  However, I have a cold now too.  I am congested and coughing a lot which isn't fun.  I hope that I can get over with this cold soon.

On the lighter note, the report cards were sent to us last weekend.   I am very happy and proud of my Burritos for doing so good in school.  I think any parents would be very happy to see their children's report cards with  good  grades.
During the first  grading, Mr. Burrito had one I which means improving but  this second grading, all of the areas are satisfactory.
I tried getting some good pictures of them but these are what I captured.  They just want to be silly and funny in front of the camera these days.
I will be in school the whole day tomorrow for the open house.  The good thing is that, we don't have to go early as  there is a two-hour delay again due to the freezing rain.
