Scholastic Printables

I was so happy that both of my kiddos are doing  excellent in school.  They brought home their first  progress report and  was so pleased to see their ratings.  Now, I can say that it's all wort it when I decided to teach them at home instead of sending them to school for their pre-school year.  When they entered kindergarten, they  are   ready for the challenges.  I even got a  praise from my daughter saying "You're the best teacher Mom!"  I feel good that I  taught them the basic stuff that they need to learn before they started  the "real" school.   The great thing about teaching your kids is that you can basically get materials such as  math worksheets for 4th graders online.  These tools are really helpful for an effective teaching whether at the school or at home.  Scholastic Printables offer a wide range of topics that covers  different subjects from Pre-K to 8th grade.  So if you ever  need some materials to use  in your teaching activity, check out the  link I have provided above, they have plenty of useful materials.  Below are the report cards of my kids.

Chef and Restaurateur

Ever since "Santa" gave  Ms. Burrito her kitchen set, she  has been so interested with foods.  Both of the Burritos  has been pretending to  be chefs and restaurateur.  They  set up a booth at their bedroom which they named "Space Bar".  They would  "cook" different menus using their play dough and they would invite  us to eat.    They have prices on each so we pay real money and they put their cash in their piggy banks.
Both of them are very business minded  and it always makes me and hubby smile.  Ms. Burrito love  watching Food Network.  Her favorite, which  also my favorites, are Chopped, Iron Chef America, Giada at Home, 30 minute meals, Cupcake Wars, Sweet Genius and more.
The photos above are their recent  creation  which they "served" us.

Jelly Bean Ball

We know a lot of friends and family who is celebrating birthdays this month including Kelli, Dad Jennings, Gracie, our Jack Russel Terrier dog, Champ, and Lola Ruth. THe kids made some puto during Lola Ruth's birthday and they spent some time with them.
They had a blast  playing with their exercise jelly bean ball.
I love watching my Burritos work as a team.  Thanks to Lolo for patiently  teaching the Burritos  work on their balances.

Little Model

My  own little model is always ready for photo opportunity.  As a Mom, I love taking pictures of them so that when they grow up, they would see it and look back to their  childhood years.  Aside from clothes,  my little  girl love  to  showcase her shoes when  she's posing in front of the camera.  She loves wearing shoes  with heels and  she can't wait till she can wear her boots again.

We were eating our dinner tonight and she suddenly remember Abby Sciuto, the character that Pauley Perette  has in NCIS TV series.      My daughter would  always ask why  Abby is wearing a dog collar and her shoes has spikes in it.  I told her that her style is  Goth and I showed her the same shoes that I  found at Jildor such as the  jeffrey campbell shoes.  Most of  Jeffrey Campbell shoes selection has spikes in it.  I like the Bullet-2 Platform Pump Black leather that they have.  It is so chic and stylish.

Anklet

Our kids are very close to two families in our neighborhood. I mean all of our neighbors are really nice but the Howell's and the Fanchers are the ones that they always visits and bond with.  One of the girls from  the H family gave Ms. Burrito  an anklet.  My kids call  the ladies their Ate's (older sister).  Their Mom was the one who also gave Ms. Burrito the special angel bracelet below.
I was taking  snaps of my daughter's feet and Bolt posed for me too.  Pardon for the dark photos, these were taken at nighttime.
Link  with me every Friday through Color Connection.  You can post any color that you like.  Just copy the code below and put it in your post and have fun.

Children & Games

Gracie brought some of her  games at  Dad's the other day and the Burritos had a great time playing with her.  It's so nice to see these three playing together.  They don't have  many cousins to play with, only  the three of them are the closest in age.

Investing in Gold Coins

My husband ignited  our children's interest in collecting stuff when he showed them his old stamp and old coin collections.  Now both of our children collect things like rocks, buttons, bottle caps and such.  Here's my son looking at the coins that  his Dad collected over the years.  We actually looked at the value of some of his collection and some   has a high value and some  are just average.  Collecting as a hobby is pretty cool because you never know if the  stuff you are collecting is worth a lot  as time goes by.

However,  if you really want  a good  collection, you can invest to an American eagle gold coin and  watch your investment go big like a  balloon in years.  If I have  a lot of  resources, I would  invest into this kind of venture because  it can be worth  in the years to come.  The important thing to remember though, before investing into  coins is to make sure that the  company you are  investing your money into, is authentic.  You don't want to be  a victim of fraud  and believe me, there are people out there that are good in deceiving  others.  So to make sure that your investment is in good hands, check out  the company's  standing and reputation in the market.

How about you, do you collect  as a hobby?  Do you venture into this kind of investment?  You may leave me your opinion about  investing into gold coins at the comment section.
