My kids Lolo and LOla, took them to their son's residence somewhere in Hill Top, Toronto, Ohio.  Below is my little monkey climbing on the railing in front of Lola's house while waiting for their ride.
Ms. Burrito brought the   camera so she could take some photos.  Thanks to Lola and Lolo for  taking these shots.
Their "cousins" Josh and Bobbi.
They will be going back there tomorrow for Josh's birthday party.

Human Nest

My children's school is a five minute walk from our home so rain or shine, hot or cold, we walk in going to and from school.
We always arrive early in school so I always have time to take pictures of these
Burritos while we are waiting for the  teacher..
During one of the the recess, Ms. Burrito  built this "human nest" as she calls it at the school field.
She showed it to me when we were going home.
I hope that you'd like the happy face of my little hen lol.

Friendly Teacher

My Burritos were so antsy to go to school last Thursday. It was the day to officially register them for this school year. We pre-registered our son already so it was easy. It was my firs time registering the kids without hubby as he was at work. Anyhow, we went so early, the registration is 9:00 but we were there 30 minutes earlier.
We were the early birds in school, the very first to come actually.  While waiting  for the registration to start, I got to take  a few snaps of my Burritos.
We brought  Mr. Burrito's  school supplies  so we don't have to carry them tomorrow.   His sister helped him in putting away his stuff in his cabby
Teachers always prepares  treat for each students.  Here's what inside Mr. Burrito's treat bag minus the   sweets lol.
His  teacher is very friendly  which makes it easier for him.  Teacher's friendliness is a great help to make children feel comfortable in going to the classroom everyday.

Growing Up Fast

Hello everyone, how are y'all doing? So far, I am starting to adjust with my "Alone-Time" at home without the kids in the morning. Waking up early is the hard part especially for the kids because they got spoiled waking up a little late during the school break.
Their Book Bags.
This week, they have to bring cold lunch in school as  hot lunch  is not available yet.  Hot lunch will start  next week.  Although hot lunch is offered, there are days that I still have to prepare them cold lunch as they don't like the menu in school.
I documented Ms. Burrito's  Kindergarten  years  so I want to do the same for  our little man.  He seldom cooperates in front of the camera but I managed to take some.
Ms. Burrito's class room, she's in second grade now and her room is  located  near Mr. Burrito so it's a plus.
In our street, only us has small kids so they are very close to our neighbors whose kids are grown up already.
With Tita Angie.
Photos above were taken yesterday, their third day.   It's only the fourth day today but Mr. Burrito has a cold already.  My kiddos are growing up so fast.  They are already talking about the appropriate grade where they can walk to and from school by themselves.  By then, Mommy won't be allowed to walk with them no more wahhh.  Oh boy!

Hello Kitty Model

Tow people must be thinking alike during my daughter's birthday. Our family friend here from the area gave Ms. Burrito a Hello Kitty outfit then our family friend in Texas sent her a Hello Kitty necklace and purse.
She also have some hello kitty hair accessories so we  completed her look.  She became the Hello Kitty model for the day.
Thank you Tita Demcy and Tita Raquel for your   pretty  pink gifts!

How to treat a Bruise

One of the unpleasant things parents have to deal with is treating our kids’ bruises. There are several organic ways of dealing with bruises, which are kind to your kids’ skin and to their health. Bruises are unsightly black and blue marks caused by blood that leaks out from the capillaries just under the skin. While bromelain, a common ingredient in pineapple has been recommended, as well as steak, there are better remedies to be had according to James A Duke, PhD the author of The Green Pharmacy and the nation’s foremost authority on healing herbs. Dr. Duke worked for 30 years for the U.S. Department of Agriculture as a botanist, specializing in healing plants, so he has a very impressive background.
Let’s take a look at natural ways to treat bruises:

·         Arnica – or Arnica Montana is a natural herb, which used topically will relieve pain from swelling and inflammation while it acts as a natural antiseptic. When looking for the ointment in health food stores look for one that is at least 15% arnica oil. You can also make your own by boiling the dried arnica herb and applying the cooled tincture with a clean cloth.

·         Bromelain – this is a natural ingredient found in pineapple, but for this study the supplement bromelain is much more practical because when eating pineapple so little of the bromelain actually can be used to aid in the healing process. Those who use this course of action recommend taking a supplement containing 150 to 450 milligrams three times daily on an empty stomach.

·         Eat citrus fruits which are high in vitamin C and bioflavonoids. These help to strengthen the capillaries making them more resistant to blood leakage.

·         Grape seeds – Create your own grape juice using the entire grape in a blender so that the seeds get pulverized. Grape seeds are equivalent to pycogenol and increase the level of vitamin C in the body - assisting in healing.

·         Parsley – Parsley has a host of health benefits and nutritional elements as well, but is often scraped off the plate when the dinner is finished. It seems that crushed parsley makes a wonderful poultice to chase the blues away, the black and blues, that is.

·         Raw potatoes – cut open a potato and apply it directly to the bruise to draw out the soreness.
·         St. John’s Wort is not just a mood elevator but is also used to treat bruises, cuts, burns and other wounds. In fact Commission E has endorsed it for years. Take the beautiful flower or dried herb and steep it in vegetable oil so you have it on hand when needed. Sometimes this herb oozes red, but not to worry. This is natural for St. John’s Wort.

·         Witch Hazel – both the leaves and the bark of this bush has been used for over a thousand years to treat all kinds of skin conditions. It is truly a remarkable remedy for bruises and it is already bottled and sold in many stores and pharmacies.

Of course it goes without saying that any serious injury and treatment options should be discussed with your physician.

Essential Aspect to Children's Growth

Engaging children into outdoor activities is very essential to their growth. Expensive toys and gadgets are not enough to make them happy. In fact, they don't even need expensive stuff as long as parents are there for them every step of the way.
Simple outdoor trip like going to a nearby creek  sparks  children's   interest.
It always gives our kids  fun and  entertainment and it gives them the chance  to discover things  while exploring the beauty of nature.
