Favorite Color

PhotobucketI don't know if this is being practiced in every school here in the United States but I really like the idea of letting them participate in publishing a book.   When my daughter was in Kindergarten, they   had one also.
This kind of project  really encourages children to   like writing and  creating short stories.  This is the main reason why  my daughter  started writing the short stories   in her notebook.  I will be sharing it here one by one soon.
This is the drawing she made  that matches the  text  she created below.
The title of the book that they did  last year in Kindergarten was "What did I see?" and this year they wrote about their  "Favorite color."

Below is the image that  you get from a special lens  that is attached to a kid's flashlight.

"We are involved in youth testing internationally.
We want to try to prove without a shadow of a doubt the relationship
between physical fitness and health, not just physical fitness and ability to perform."

  7. I agree with the children in school being encouraged to create and write about things and people they love, or in this case, 'what they see and their favorite color. Your photos are adorable and the book is so special for you to keep as a memory. I still have a book such as this that one of my daughters wrote in the 5th grade. I should probably give it back to her. I will, but it is so much fun to look back and enjoy it from time to time.

Thank you for sharing this sweet project.
    Hugs, Jeanne

  11. That is what I like about their schools here, sis, they really encourage the students to read. Yogi is loving reading now and my husband who is so supportive gave him lots of books as gifts.

They haven't tried writing a book yet though but more of a reading journal pa lang which is also good because it will develop their writing skills talaga. :)

    Happy Friday!

  15. My kids loved writing their own books. They'd ask me to "buy" them for a penny. :)
