Singing at Church on Christmas

We did not attend the family's  usual get together at my  FIL's home because  our daughter has to sing at church.  We  stayed 2 1/12 hours at church  because there was a Christmas Pagent  before the mass so we had to go earlier than usual.  The Christmas Pagent (Show) was performed by  SJS students, i was beautiful!
Look at the joyful faces singing the yuletide carol.  Hubby and I were so impressed by our son because the whole time we were at church that long, he never made a fuzz or anything, he was really good!

Dolled Up

As Ms. Burrito have planned, she decorated her cardboard box play house for Christmas in anticipation for Santa's visit. She is planning to put a tree beside it this weekend. She already made some ornaments out of cardboard and decorated it with glitters.  My seven year old is always busy creating things that I would have never thought of when I was her age.  So here it is, her  dolled up playhouse.

Chewed Up

When Ms. Burrito left her flip flops unattended, our dog, Bolt, chewed it up.  Well, at least, this slippers don't cost that much unlike the shoes that our dog, Champ, have  chewed up before.  Oh having dogs is  a joy but pain in the behind sometimes.

Keeping Your Child's Things Separate From their Friends

There is a really good chance that your children own quite a few things. The more children you have, the more things they will own. It could be rather simple things like clothing, toys or other personal items. When your children have friends over, or when they spend some time at a friend's house, there is a really good chance that there will be some confusion over whose items are whose. If your children's clothing gets mixed up, how are you going to be able to tell them apart? This can become a huge problem, but there is a very easy solution to this problem. You can label all of the children's things. This is a simple solution, but how do you get the proper labels. You could always just use a permanent marker and label all of their things by hand, or you can go a completely different route with the labels.

 Custom Labels

The only real problem with labeling your children's things is this. Most kids don't like the idea of having their name written inside their clothing with a magic marker. They also don't like their toys or other personal items being labeled and written on either. There is an easy way to fix this all too common problem. That is where custom labels come in handy.

There are custom labels that kids will actually enjoy. These labels have been designed specifically with children in mind. They are cool flashy colors with cool designs, and there are cool label shapes with neat themes and backgrounds as well. These are  Kids labels that kids will actually be proud to show to their friends. With these types of labels, you will solve two problems in one. Your children's things will be properly labeled at all times so they can't possibly get mixed up with another child's things, and your kids will actually like the labels!

Z-Tek Crossbow

I was very happy when Freeman Public Relation granted me to work with them. They gave me three products for FREE in return for my honest review.  My Burritos would be  delighted to have the   things that I got for them.  I haven't given these to them yet, I want to surprise them this Christmas.  They would be delighted to get some extra stuff.
This Cuddle Barn's Sassy Sally would be perfect  for my niece.  My  kids are big enough for this kind of  plush toy so I will just send this to my niece, I am sure that she'll be happy.
Ms Burrito recently made a crossbow out of paper.  She watched the tutorial on Youtube and she made one which she was very proud.  I figured, she would love to have this one as it is complete already and she doesn't have to make it herself.
Mr. Burrito love to  tear apart  some of his cars so he can re-build it and this Xtreme Custom Kit would be  a perfect one for him to work on.

Thank you so much to Ms. E. Kuehn for giving me  not only one product to review but three.  If you want to know what they do and what kind of product and services they offer, check them out and like their  Facebook page so you won't miss a thing.

Recycled Arts

My Burritos likes to recycle things like empty bottles,  paper towels rolls, and just about  any empty containers at home.  They made these empty bottles into some cute  characters that represent their friends and  classmates.

Creating a Gift Registry for your Baby Shower

A baby shower is a wonderful way to celebrate your baby’s upcoming arrival and to get some much needed items for your nursery. However, putting together a gift registry can be an intimidating process, especially for first time moms. The good news is that with a few handy tips, creating your gift registry is a breeze. Companies such as New Arrivals Inc make it quick and easy – and fun.

 Start with the Basics

No matter what, your baby is going to have certain basic needs. We all eat, sleep and wear clothes – your baby included. Keeping this in mind, you’ll need to choose items accordingly:

A place to sleep – You have several options ranging from a bassinette to your own bed. However, two popular options are a crib and a portable bed (such as Graco’s Pack N’ Play). A crib is the traditional choice and if you choose a convertible crib, it’s a choice that can grow and change as your baby does. A portable bed is also a popular option both for travel and everyday use. Many families choose to have both.

Food to eat – No matter if you plan on bottle or breast feeding, there are still plenty of items you will need. A large pillow (such as a Boppy pillow) is a great item and burp cloths are a must. Formula fed babies will need plenty of bottles and the wherewithal to clean and sterilize them. Breast feeding moms will appreciate having a pump and storage containers for milk.

Diapers – Whether you choose disposable diapers or a diaper service, you’ll still need something to put on your baby’s bottom. You’ll also need plenty of wipes along with a container for soiled diapers.

Clothes to wear – Babies go through a lot of clothing – much more than you would think. Between spitting up and diaper explosions, your baby can go through more clothing changes than Lady Gaga during a live performance. You can never have too many onesies.

 Have a Little Fun

Once your baby’s basic needs are covered, why not have a little fun? After all, there’s more to putting together a nursery than taking care of bare essentials. Indulge your baby and yourself with a stylish nursery decorated with a fun theme such as nature, a favorite story character or a pleasing color palette. After all, you and your baby deserve the best.

LIl' Fashionista

These photos were taken four years ago when we were still living in Korea.  My sister-in-law  made her some sort of a legging and she  paired it with one of  her top and other accessories.  Here we go, Mommy kept the camera rolling lol.
I'll leave you the last photo with a big smile to say, thank you for being part of our online life!  Happy Thanksgiving y'all!

Hottest Skateboarding Trends

Quality skateboards will always be in style. But the designs, fashions, and accessories that skateboarders enjoy fall in and out of vogue. What's hot today may be out next season.

Not sure what's in style now? Here are some of the hottest skateboarding trends to guide you:

Retro Plastic Skateboards

Glossy, plastic skateboards enjoyed their heyday in the 1970s. Now these discount skateboards are making a comeback and are among the hottest skateboarding trends. This durable, functional board has a cool, retro design that will make you feel nostalgic even if you weren't around to see the 70s yourself.

Hybrid Skate Shoes

The shoes you wear to keep a good grip on your board may not necessarily look good on the dance floor -- until now. Hybrid skate shoes give you the functionality you need when you're doing tricks on your board and the style you want when you're out with your friends. No need to keep a change of shoes, so you can pack light!

Upcycled Skateboard Jewelry

Show off your love of skateboarding by wearing cuffs and chains made out of upcycled skateboard parts. Ball bearing shells and bolts can become rings, strips of board can be molded into bangles, and other pieces can be turned into pendants and other fun accessories. Show off your love of the sport while also indulging in one of the hottest skateboarding trends of the season.

What are some of your favorite skateboarding trends this season? Share your thoughts on these trends in the comments!

Trio Thanksgiving Treat

I attended the  Thanksgiving  lunch of the three classes (Pre-K, Kindergarten, and First Grade) at my  children's school last November 19, 2012.  I wasn't assigned as  homeroom mom volunteer but I went anyway because I did not want  my son to feel like I am neglecting his functions as he saw how I was very active with his sister before.

There are many Moms who attended as well which makes the little ones very happy.

Budding Artist

My daughter has been watching the tutorials about drawing different kinds of subject on youtube.  Here are some of her drawings.  She definitely has my husband's artistic side, I don't have any talent in drawing at all.  I am glad that there is youtube because  even if I don't send my daughter to an art class, she learns from watching video tutorials.

"Children also have artistic ability, and there is wisdom in there having it! The more helpless they are, the more instructive are the examples they furnish us; and they must be preserved free of corruption from an early age. "

My two Burritos are equally different, Ms. Burrito is a quick learner while the  Mister   takes time.

Sleepy Eyes

Sharing old photos once again. My PC isn't well yet, the technician said that he could probably finish it by tomorrow so let's see. For now, I am uploading these shots when my kids were still little.
Mr. Burrito  is barely  a year old when these were taken.  We laughed looking back at these photos as he looked like so sleepy on the second shot.

Fire Drill

Oh I wish I could have my PC back, all the photos I have was there and it's killing me that updating my blog is hard without my photos.. sigh. This photo was uploaded before my PC crashed.
I wasn't in the school when the annual fire drill was held  but glad that one of the Moms who attended  took pictures and gave each of the student a copy.  This is the second grade class.  I am loving the  fire men  wearing pink shirt hehehe.

Tutorville

Me and my husband was invited to attend a meeting  by the principal of  our children school in order  to discuss a possible  special program for gifted children.  Our daughter  was recommended by her teacher  because she see a potential in her.  She was impressed when our daughter showed her  some of her  articles  and drawings that she did at home when she is off from school.  I am so glad that our daughter is doing so good in school.

It is my son that I am concern about, although he is doing good but doesn't take  it as seriously as his sister.  That is why I focus my attention in helping my son with his  homework at home because I know that he needs it most more than his sister.  I am also glad that I am a stay at home mom and I can teach my son at home.  Some Moms who  need to work has no other option but to  hire a tutor for their kids.

Sibling Rivalry

Sibling rivalry is very common. My daughter was only nine months old when I got pregnant again. She got used to being our everything so when our son was born, she wasn't very happy. She was only 18 months old and it was very hard for her to accept that she had a competition to our attention.
For the most parts, she was very good to her brother but there were times that she would pinch him or bite him when she wanted attention.
It was hard for me too especially that  my family was far away, I felt like I  had twins lol.
Now that they are  bigger, sibling rivalry still exist.  It's a constant battle  that I have to deal with from time to time.
Time flies and I am glad that I got to  enjoy  motherhood in full at home.

Pumpkin Patch

The photos below were taken at the pumpkin patch at Janoski's Farm. We bought three pumpkins, two small ones and one medium white one.
Squash is the only thing that I saw  at my country so when I see the different varieties of pumpkins here, I was amazed.  I like the pink pumpkin the most .
Going to a pumpkin  patch with my kids is so much fun!  Presenting  our outdoor fun to you.   Thanks for visiting!
